One of the things that is so compelling about the BarkBox experience is the interplay that exists between human and dog. Dogs are excited for BarkBox not only for the toys and treats, but also because of the reaction of the human. We learned that retention was driven not only by great products, but also amazing experiences.
Winter Walkies was a board game developed for the December 2018 BarkBox experience. Our goal was to bring the human further into the BarkBox experience and craft memorable moments between humans and their dogs that further the bond between them, and increase retention as a result.
Audio impacts our perception of the world around us. Ultimate Potential utilizes low-frequency beta and theta waves to literally hypnotize the player within the game environment.
This project allowed me to continue exploring innovative controls and their impact on the world around us.
Phones are the enemy of spending time with your dog. BarkPlay was a conceptual project exploring the ways to bring digital AR into physical play experiences with dogs. Our goal was to make playing with your dog as fun as playing with your Pokemon.

While at BarkBox, I was responsible for starting and building our BarkPack influencer network of celebrity dogs, working with 300+ separate dog accounts over the course of 3 years. I grew our @BarkBox Instagram account to 1.2 million followers through innovative community marketing campaigns and relationship management.
Leveraging creative posting techniques, I grew the BarkBox Instagram account from 20,000 followers to over 1.2 million over the course of 8 months.
I completed work for a number of brands on leveraging our influencer community for advertising campaigns, including Budweiser, Sony and Swiffer.
Out video posts drew over 2 million comments, leading to rapid growth on the account. Additionally, I leveraged BarkPack to drive growth by growing the BarkBox brand ecosystem. I was featured on the Prehype podcast to explain the technique.
I was nominated for the 2015 Mashable Mashies Digital Marketing award for Best Use of Instagram, and was quoted in the Wall Street Journal article, “The Dog Agency Fetches Ad Dollars for Popular Pooches.”
I was also featured in a Prehype podcast outlining my innovative Instagram account building techniques.

Augmented reality is more than just what we see - what we hear, taste and smell all make up our reality. AR games should be no different. OMG! BIRDS! leverages the iPhones microphone sensor to bring voice controls into a real world application.
This game was developed as part of a conceptual project. My goal was to create a digital game that integrated both dogs and humans into the play experience. By using audio controls, a dog’s bark can control the game. Dog’s bark at birds, now you bark alongside them.
